The mountain that needed a holiday, as the full title goes, is exactly about that: a mountain that needs and takes a holiday. It is a children’s book for the ages 4– 8 that takes you on a journey, a holiday, through the eyes of a mountain. After standing there for thousands of years, the mountain decides to take a break and go on a holiday. He wants to travel the world and visit all the amazing places he has heard so much about from the skiers that visit him. But of course people notice when a mountain disappears, it is very hard to down hill ski when there is no hill to ski down from. And imagine the surprise of the local people in the places where the mountain suddenly ‘pops up’! How hard is it to see the sights, when you are a mountain?
